Revenue & Reservations Manager

Responsible for developing and implementing revenue management strategies to maximize room revenue and occupancy. The incumbent will oversee the Reservations team and ensure that all reservations are handled efficiently and effectively.

Overseeing and optimizing reservation processes to ensure efficient utilization of resources and enhance overall revenue generation.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Overseeing Standards: Ensure compliance with established standards in reservation processes, maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop strategic and tactical actions to optimize revenue, considering market trends and demands.
  • Audit Procedures: Conduct regular audits of reservation procedures to identify areas for improvement and implement changes accordingly.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage the reservations team, providing guidance and support for effective performance.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and marketing, to align reservation strategies with overall business goals.
  • Price Optimization: Implement pricing strategies to maximize revenue, considering factors like occupancy rates and competitive pricing.
  • Forecasting: Utilize data analysis to forecast demand, enabling proactive measures to optimize revenue.
  • Competition: Prepare monthly analysis of STR Reports, by period, by DOW, REVPAR index goals, Comp set analysis by market segment.
  • Identify Trends: Monitor and analyze market conditions to identify trends and opportunities
  • Communications: Communicate with guests and resolve any issues that may arise Maintain a positive and professional relationship with guests, staff, and other departments.
  •  Market Segments: Assist the DOSM in pursuing new market segments to secure sales and prepare proposals for consideration.
  • Conduct weekly meeting, provide summarize results vs. direction from the previous month, and lead discussion on future issues such booking pace, pricing strategies and competitive environment.

General / Miscellaneous

  • Reporting: Maintain the revenue reporting system and analyse reservation patterns. presenting findings and recommendations to the management team.
  • Training: Provide training to reservation staff on best practices and emerging industry trends.
  • Customer Service: Ensure a high standard of customer service in the reservation process, addressing customer inquiries and concerns.
